Situated on a hilltop in Umbria just 2 kilometres from the border with Tuscany, Sanbucaia enjoys stunning panoramic views. This little piece of paradise is surrounded by extremely well tended gardens which boast a rich variety of flowers and plants. The main building and the guest house are just 50 metres apart. Sanbucaia is a well maintained villa which is elegantly furnished in a country style throughout. The kitchen is particularly spacious and well equipped. The property sits on 150 hectares of meadows, woods and olive groves.
The 10 hectares around the villa are fenced in to ensure your privacy. The splendid gardens are terraced on various levels leading down towards the valley and in this direction some steps take you to the large swimming pool. The pool can be heated on request for an extra charge. Your every comfort is catered for the outdoor areas around the villa. There is a beautiful pergola outside the kitchen which is ideal for breakfast al fresco and there is also a well equipped portico for dining in. The surrounding area is full of historically and artistically interesting places to visit. You can reach various fascinating places in just 30 – 40 minutes for example Cortona and Gubbio. Don’t forget to visit Montone during your stay, a picturesque medieval village which offers a fantastic range of restaurants and trattorias. The nearest restaurant is just a few minutes drive away from the villa.

excellent Sanbucaia is a lovely house. It is in a stunning location with magnificent hilltop views in a peaceful, rural part of Umbria. The gardens are exceptionally fine – a slice of green England in the heat of central Italy. The staff who look after the house were helpful and kind and always unobtrusive.

very good Sorry only just got this email as its not my main address. We had a fantastic holiday in Sanbuccaia. The house was beautiful, well equipped and had really kind staff. We were delighted to have maid service every day - very unusual on holiday. Could you please send me the postal address of the house as I accidentally brought one of their books home. Many thanks.
